Crest: A crest is a soft pad placed under the second, third and fourth toes on a full length orthotic. It is used to straighten hammer toes. It is also used for patients who have lesions on the tip of their toe(s) to alleviate pressure. (It is difficult to add apertures on the tips of their toes). |
