Reinforce LA: Material (usually rubber) is placed on the bottom of the orthotic. This is used when the patient needs additional arch support. Another indication is when the orthotic will be used in climbing ladders and poles, which would put additional stress on the arch area. This also will make the orthotic less flexible. |
